My one can pinpoint my age almost exactly...... it’s A-ha at the Royal Albert Hall.

Jimi Hendrix

Treaclepie19 · 10/11/2018 07:58

I think it was Busted in about 2002/3. I should really be able to remember this!

Cliff Richard on my 13th birthday - 47 years ago!

insancerre · 10/11/2018 08:52

The smiths 1985

footballmum · 10/11/2018 09:06

Abba. Stafford, 1979. I was 7 Smile

Ofchris · 10/11/2018 09:08

So jealous of some of these. Especially people who got to the smiths. I got dragged to see new kids on the block in Birmingham by my friends who were all massive fans. I could hear the screaming in my head for two days afterwards! I count my first proper gig as James at a much smaller venue later that year. Have since gone to see them several times over the last 27 years!

TidaQuel · 10/11/2018 09:09

Ian McCulloch, Cambridge Corn Exchange 1989

Actually, no maybe The Cure earlier that year on their Prayer Tour?

Cantthinkofabloodyname · 10/11/2018 09:21

Guns n Roses at Wembley stadium back in 1992. I was 16 and went with friends.

HMBB · 10/11/2018 09:29

The Dooleys at Birmingham Odeon - I was 10 and it was a friend's birthday treat for a group of us to go. Pure class!

Mayhemmumma · 10/11/2018 09:30

East 17 (go with the flow free your mind your body and soul)

Wooooop

xlexiix · 10/11/2018 09:37

Spice Girls with my best mate 20 years later I am anxiously waiting for 10:30 to attempt to get tickets to relive our youth!

FuriousOfSurrey · 10/11/2018 09:45

Bob Marley and the Wailers at the Brighton Centre 1980/1 - it was very smoky in there and Bob commented that there was something mystic blowing in the wind in Brighton! We didn't have any pot but there was so much floating in the air that I got all fuzzy headed and giggly - it was a brilliant night. He sadly died quite soon after, RIP Bob

longwayoff · 10/11/2018 09:51

O furious, I envy that. Wish I'd seen Bob Marley.

AbitComplex · 10/11/2018 09:57

Gary Numan, Manchester Apollo, 1980, Teletour.
I was 14.
I still go to see him now.

notmyfinest · 10/11/2018 09:58

EMF!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/11/2018 09:59

Not exactly a band but my mum took my sister and I to see «The Kids from Fame» in concert at Wembley Arena. Early 80s

pktechgirl · 10/11/2018 10:02

Iron Maiden at Castle Donnington with the Almighty, WASP, Slayer and Skid Row

AbitComplex · 10/11/2018 10:04

@AlecTrevelyan006, I’m so envious.

I wanted to see him at the Bridgewater Hall, but couldn’t get the time off 😢.

Idontwanttogo · 10/11/2018 10:05

Boyzone

Stoppedat1 · 10/11/2018 10:08

Blur 1997

Piglet208 · 10/11/2018 10:13

1984 Nik Kershaw at the Hammersmith Odeon. I was 15 and I loved it!

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 10/11/2018 10:14

Depeche Mode, Hammersmith Odeon, 1984.

AbitComplex · 10/11/2018 10:16

Gary Numan at Colston Hall in Bristol, must have been mid 80s.
It was magical. I think it cost about £12.

@LizzieBennettDarcy. I was 14 also, but in 1980 when I saw him. My elder sister took (had to take) me. She made it obvious she didn’t want to take me 😛, but I’m glad she did as I found it magical too.

AbitComplex · 10/11/2018 10:17

Oops bold fail there.
