Iceland's "political" Christmas ad not allowed because it informs viewers of the effects of deforestation for production of palm oil

Highlighting destruction of the environment really shouldn't be seen as a "political end", surely?

How is it "nicked" from Greenpeace if Greenpeace agreed to it? I suspect they were delighted.

Well done Iceland! I’ve been trying to buy palm oil free for a while now but it sneaks into so much stuff.

SleepingStandingUp · 09/11/2018 16:33

I'm sure Greenpeace are utterly thrilled with the coverage and have charged Iceland plenty!!

In another country so not see the palm oil ad. They are not Christmassy but I can't let an Iceland post go past without a salute to the NO BULL burger. Best vegetarian burger.

I didn’t realise they sold fresh vegetables and fruit - I thought it was only frozen ‘ready-made’ stuff, like all that Kerry katona party food. I’ll have to take another look now.

They are the only supermarket who manages to deliver my shopping on time with the correct items so yadnbu.
