My DS (16) told me about this. It's got to be tongue in cheek, surely? Even if it isn't, it's hilarious/unbelievable/scary/pathetic (can't work out what to call it

"Libragender: a gender that feels agender but has a strong connection to another gender"

I take it back. This ^^ is my favourite lol

WeeMadArthur · 09/11/2018 09:24

I couldn’t face reading the whole way down the list, but this is what I aim to be from now on

Demi-smoke (term coined by @cotton-blossom-jellyfish): A transcendental, spiritual gender roughly drifting to other genders that are unable to be foreseen and understood, shrouded in darkness within your inner visual. Elevating through mystery. Caused by a lack of inner interpretation and dark emotional states. Tied to Demi-Vapor.

as soon as I’ve walked the dog, emptied the dishwasher and put the washing on.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 09/11/2018 09:25

They’re missing Birthgender - the gender that correlates with your birth sex as denoted by your genitalia.

Jeez.

PositiveVibez · 09/11/2018 09:28

Haha. Surely a pisstake. Funny though.

Stopyourhavering64 · 09/11/2018 09:29

Surgender: having a gender that is 100% one gender but with more of another gender added on top of that
I'm sure last time I studied maths, you couldn't have more than 100% of anything! Confused

NightmareDaemon · 09/11/2018 09:31

Created as a piss-take so they could get the woke set defending the right to degine your gender hiwever you want to.

JustDanceAddict · 09/11/2018 09:32

I’ll be Aerogender - identifying as a mint chocolate sounds good...

JustDanceAddict · 09/11/2018 09:34

Myimaginary that’s cisgender!

BeefTomato · 09/11/2018 09:36

I'm sure it must be a joke!

Can you imagine having to build all of those gender-segregated bathrooms?!

GladAllOver · 09/11/2018 09:37

Of course it's a pisstake.

howdoI · 09/11/2018 09:47

When my DS was in yr6, (now yr 8) he had his first gf, after a while I asked him how it was going.
DS; She broke up with me
Me; oh why?
DS; Oh y'know (smiles sheepishly)
Me; No I don't
DS; She's decided she's (smiles again) y'know mum
Me; Err a lesbian???
DS; No ( chuckles) she's pangender
Didn't have a clue wth this was and had to google it and was horrified that 10 yo's know about this crap !

FishCanFly · 09/11/2018 09:54

Genderfuzz: coined by lolzmelmel; the feeling of having more than one gender that are somehow blurred together to the point of not being able to distinguish or identify individual genders; synonymous with blurgender

my head hurts. I would have thought its a joke, but being on Twitter and Facebook I've seen things I couldn't believe existed

BeyondVicious · 09/11/2018 10:50

I'm curious how many of these are included in facebooks list of 72 genders?

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 09/11/2018 10:54

What the fuck did I just read? The world some young people have gone mad Confused

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 09/11/2018 10:58

It's parody.

But there are people who would nod along with it, and find their true gender identity in there, as they knew they were always special and different.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/11/2018 11:25

What proof is there that it's parody? I genuinely want to know!

GladAllOver · 09/11/2018 12:32

There is no proof.
It's just obvious that it's too extreme to be true

BarbarianMum · 09/11/2018 14:38

"It's just obvious that it's too extreme to be true."

What, like putting convicted rapists in women's prisons?

ReanimatedSGB · 10/11/2018 12:28

Is this actually any more stupid than, you know, religions? Or the various not-official-religions-but-widely-held- belief-systems such as astrology, past life regression, clairvoyance - or the sort of actually-harmful shit like sticking wasps' nests up your chuff that gets peddled by fuckwits like Gwyneth Paltrow?

Wellthatsit · 10/11/2018 12:29

Wasps nests up your chuff??? Not heard of that one Shock

OP posts:
Mrskeats · 10/11/2018 12:31

What a load of self indulgent wankery.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/11/2018 12:32

Actually I class major world religions, genderist shit and stuffing wasps' nests up one's chuff as all equally harmful.

ReanimatedSGB · 10/11/2018 14:26

Wasps' nests.

Just as, with religions, a person can subscribe to the good (or at least no more than silly/harmless) aspects of the belief, such as having an imaginary friend that loves them, this sort of twee, twinkly specialness is not a terrible thing we need to worry about. Most of the people who want to think that they have 'a gender of fire and ice' or whatever will grow out of it: when I was a teen, the cool thing was to be convinced you had at least some sort of mystic woo power, like being able to tell the future with your dreams or talk to ghosts. Daft but essentially harmless in nearly all cases - and in those cases where individuals made pests of themselves, these were people who would always find some way of making pests of themselves.

13thWarriorWitch · 10/11/2018 14:33

Thanks OP. I needed that laugh today
