Husband has this lovely new habit of leaving things out. Tonight it's the salt and pepper. I've left them on the side. I'm refusing to put them away. He's also started leaving things to soak in the washing up bowl. Which he says he will finish tomorrow.. but guess what? He never does it tomorrow! So as he hates the sound of me washing up I've done it very loudly washing up the soaking pots which just required a bit of elbow grease and he's disappeared upstairs! What's the betting he will come down and proudly say I've put all my clothes away?!!!!! Grrr!!!! And before you say it, I've told him loads of times. Maybe I just need some fancy looking salt and pepper pots so it doesn't annoy me so much! Rant over.

I can't stand half doing the washing up. Either do it or don't. Don't leave shit festering in water to go cold and manky. I hate people that do that!

@Eliza9917 me too!!!!! Really annoys me. It only needed a bit of extra scrubbing!

Start telling him anything left out will be thrown away. And then do it. (Or hide things you want to keep). He'll soon learn. I did this at work with crap left on my desk without a post-it telling me what they wanted done, and printing that wasn't collected from the printer, and dirty stuff left in the kitchen. All problems that have now been solved Grin

@Eliza9917 lmao! That's brilliant!! 🤣 he always seems to leave out food items. Though his laptops always put.. that's tempting to throw away

My DH drives me nuts with this

He left the hoover in the middle of the living room floor on Sunday afternoon, I completely refuse to put it away so we’re awkwardly walking round/stepping over it at the moment

I’m taking bets on how long it will stay there - and not doing any hoovering so it doesn’t then become my job to put it away

I'm joining you with the ltb candle.

I've been ill so Dh had left the post/paperwork in the kitchen to sort when better. Last week we went through it and he said he would put it away. I've just found it on top of the fridge.

My dh always does the evening dishes and is also good at leaving a pot if theres no more room on the draining board. I am a pro at totally ignoring it and washing my own dishes. Same goes for his work flask that can sit there fri-sun.

Twunts

@Tinklewinkle I'd refuse to put it away too. Mine would do something like that too!! It's so bloody frustrating!!!!

@BrazzleDazzleDay it blows my mind! Seriously! I've been cleaning and sorting OUR bedroom all day. He's sat down for most of it except to get the washing pegged out even though there wasn't enough daylight left and it was pretty damp out today. So he did that. We've been out and come back and dcs toys are out everywhere. I've put them to sleep and come down and he's back on the sofa! I've tidied up again! Sat down and he said what's wrong with you. I've explained that the floor was covered in stuff and he could have at least offered and all he said was yeah I didn't tidy no need to be in a mood over that. So I shrugged and he's gone to bed. Which I'm glad about to be honest!!
