Sweaty... fanny! Driving me mad!!

I'm so sorry for the TMI thread on AIBU but over maybe the last 12 month's my groin has got warmer and warmer and now frequently smells of B.O?! It is starting to really annoy me - I am clean and always wear cotton knickers but it's like my crotch area is constantly on fire, meaning my knickers get soaked with sweat and smell!! How disgusting! Proper putting me off having sex with my lovely DH and giving me a terrible complex.

Anyone else? I'm 40 and wondering if it's hormone related?? Anything I can do? Feel weird rolling up at the GPs saying oh hi my fadge is well sweaty.

For clarity - it's not BV or thrush it is definitely sweat. Urgh.

God no, don't shave your minge! That is what the hairs are for, to stop sweat rolling into ah, crevices. Just like eyebrows stop sweat trickling into your eyes.

Shaving does help, trust me!

No medical solutions but I'm occasionally faced with the same issue .Like you I stick to pure cotton knickers and avoid any scented products down there. According to my GP anything "feminine wash" with fragrance is the devil, and after a couple of spectacular thrush incidents after I ignored her, I now take her advice.
If I wear anything with a trace of lace , silk or polyester down there and throw on lycra tights on top for the gym - my bits get extremely ...er... squelchy. Blush
I often go knicker free around the house to air it out and wax it when I remember to.
And...TMI ...the sweatiness eliminate the need for lube...

I empathise.

I think it's boob b.o.
Noooo...don't shave it! Ouch for the growing back. Do an excessive wax leaving a narrower band, keeping the edges smooth

Sounds well dodgy using deo down there Confused

Go to GP and get checked for Diabetes. My DH who is fifty something had thrush his nether regions twice during the hot summer months. The first time I bought him some Canestan, the next time I sent him to get checked out properly and it turned out he has Type 2 Diabetes. We caught it early and he is having the right treatment.

If this is not the case, ask for your GPs advice, he/she will have seen it all before.

Wash the groin area and under boobs with a soap bar (not Dove or a showercream bar, but proper soap). It really works. TKmaxx have lovely ones, Nesti Dante is my favourite from there.
Obviously do not wash the inside of the labia with soap however! Because, hello thrush.

SkaTastic · 06/11/2018 06:49

Thanks all for your concern!! I have diabetes in the family and hadn't thought of that so will give it a go.

Any perfumes or soaps other than Dove will make it very very very angry and I will have to suffer it's wrath.

Right best make a doctors appointment! Hi doc!

I wear cloth pads because of this. Much more comfy than knickers alone!

BabySharkAteMyHamster · 06/11/2018 14:10

Boobo is BO between my boobs.

It's all glamour here :(

SkaTastic · 06/11/2018 15:34

Oh same BabyShark with my towel snuggling and sweaty knickers! Don't ever ever have sweaty pits though. One saving grace!!
