To think our holiday apartment is haunted??

So we have been in a lovely holiday apartment in Benidorm since Monday. There have been a few things that have freaked me out a little since we got here. I shall list below then you guys can tell me what you think?

I feel very very uneasy in certain parts of the apartment, almost as if someone is looking over my shoulder. This could just be me being a bit woo!

I was taking a Snapchat photo. Turned the camera to use filters and the face recognition picked up a face right behind me. I shut the app down and retried 3 times moving position around the room and it still did this.

I woke up in the middle of the night and opened my eyes. DH was asleep behind me. There was a male face facing me on the pillow right in front of me.

I was sat reading a book in the living room last night, quite sleepy. I looked up from my book and there was a woman in a striped t-shirt standing next to the window right next to my DH. I looked back and she was gone.

Seriously am I being hysterical or is something going on here???

@selepele weather forecast said 21 today but it felt hotter than that! We were all on the beach in swimwear and waist deep in the sea. Poor husband has burnt a little x

Eeep! Scary. I had this before in holiday rentals. Hate it

recklessruby · 04/11/2018 21:15

I believe you. We have a house ghost in our Victorian house built 1892 but shes not scary.
Yours sounds freaky. Don't like the face on the pillow thing at all.

Notquiteagandt · 04/11/2018 21:26

@Potatoandleeek well you've just put me off air bnb. Your theory makes perfect sense though!

Sequencedress · 04/11/2018 21:41

Have the kids noticed anything? I love a good woo thread Grinand I agree, you sound delightfully weird (absolutely a compliment!!) Wine

cricketmum84 · 04/11/2018 22:03

So far kids haven't said anything. I don't want to say anything to them as DD(9) will freak more than me and DS (14) would probs Male up a load of ultra woo stuff just to freak me out more Cos he is evil like that 😂😂

Just got back to the apartment after a hilarious (non sweaty) drag act and a west life tribute, kids in bed, poured a small glass of red and let's see what happens tonight!!

@Sequencedress aw shucks 😂 I would rather be delightfully weird than boring and normal!

Thanks. I hope your holiday isn't too creepy!!

Glad to hear you've got great weather.

Tistheseason17 · 04/11/2018 23:11

Wooooooh!

DuckofDoom · 04/11/2018 23:31

A FACE ON YOUR PILLOW???? Shock

TheMaddHugger · 04/11/2018 23:33

Have you checked or carbon monoxide ? It can do strange things.

Ps, I do beleive in Ghosts

MorningsEleven · 05/11/2018 00:08

literally the worst idea I've ever heard

🤣🤣🤣

cricketmum84 · 05/11/2018 08:25

Yes an actual face on my pillow staring at me.

No more ghostly updates overnight although I must have woken up 10 times... didn't dare open my eyes too much though 👀

Re carbon monoxide - the apartment has a gas bottle stove which we use for breakfast but have all windows flung open due to the heat. There is another gas bottle for the small heater but haven't had to use that either. 2 electric water heaters for showers. And no other symptoms like headaches or tiredness (except for when I've been awake 10 times lol)

9 year old DD has just come running from the toilet asking who was tapping on the door.

We are all in the living room.

OMG I'd be so freaked out. You're handling it really sensibly

hungrypanda2008 · 05/11/2018 21:55

Calmly is probably a better word

KrispyKremes · 05/11/2018 22:08

Oh goodness. If it's air BnB please share the link of the place with us.

(Understand if you want to wait u Rio you're checked out.)

MixedMaritalArts · 05/11/2018 22:19

I’d be wafting smouldering sage round like it was going out of fashion.

InsomniacAnonymous · 05/11/2018 22:26

Well I'm scared and I'm here! I don't think I could stay there OP.

Norugratsatall · 05/11/2018 22:27
