Nipples changing shape.....

Posted in health but didn’t get any response, posting for traffic!

About 2/3 months ago I had an appointment at the breast cancer clinic due to painful breasts, they done a scan (ultra sound) and they said that it was milk ducts (daughter is now 10months, haven’t breast feed for 6months) the pain has gotten better, still there but nowhere near as bad.

My nipples sometimes change shape, really hard to describe, the areola is sometimes fuller or more bumpy, I give my boobs a quick squeeze and they go back to normal (like plumping a pillow) does anyone else have this?!?!?

I have anxiety, really really bad, it’s medicated, so I’m really panicking.

Thanks!

sounds like a partial inverted nipple. don't panic. (((((Hugs))))

But it’s not inverted, it’s like more plumpy, I feel sick with worry!

It's quite normal for nipples to temporarily change shape and texture in response to temperature and also physical or mental stimuli. They do become softer and plumper when it's warm, and smaller and harder when they are cold.

A long-term change in the appearance of your nipples or breasts should be reported to your GP.

If you are worried go to your GP and settle your mind. You won't resolve anything or feel reassured without professional advice. However if you were seen in breast clinic a couple of months ago then I'd be surprised if it was something sinister. They generally know their stuff (been there, done that, broke the mug etc)

Could it be to do with your cycle?? Hormone fluctuations and all that jazz.
