It's 10 days before my period and I'm exhausted.
I mean I can't keep my eyes open tired.
From Tuesday night I was falling asleep at 7pm.
I have zero energy to do anything today.
My eyes are heavy and I feel like I haven't been to sleep.
My doctor did blood tests last month and sent me on my way.
Il be like this now till after my period.
I'm fed up of this

Ask for B12 tests

TheFifthKey · 02/11/2018 18:24

Honestly, give these a try: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00AZZTU0G/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ref=plSrch&keywords=solgar+vitamin+d3&dpPl=1&dpID=51MeRZKBDzL&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1541183012&sr=8-3

So cheap and they worked almost straight away for me. Now if I get the bone tired feeling I know I’m coming down with something. I was falling asleep at my desk before!

Labradoodliedoodoo · 02/11/2018 18:25

Speak to the surgery manager and demand your results. Your entitled to know

Shitlandpony · 02/11/2018 18:29

Adding to the chorus of Vit D, also get your B12 checked.

Dragonlight · 02/11/2018 19:54

Back pain, cramping, nausea and bowel issues here too and I do have endo. It's worth getting that checked OP and surely legally they have to give you a copy of blood test results! They do here.

Migraines, aching, hair los, heavy bleeding and clots. Such a joyous event! The severe mood swings alone need looking at for you. It's an awful way to live :(

I should be having a lap early next year.
I'm dreading it but probably for the best.
At least then I know what I'm dealing with.
Did you have a lap?
I asked for a mri instead but she refused

I get like this around ovulation too, I thought it was just me - you're supposed to feel at your best then but I could, and often do, crawl back into bed after the school run and sleep all morning. It's horrible

ThanksItHasPockets · 03/11/2018 11:11

I take Floradix, which is gentle iron, B vitamins and vit C, plus separate vitamin D. It helps. Flowers

nattingherz · 03/11/2018 13:26

Thank you for the recommendation I've just ordered the floradix from boots.
Hope it helps

This is me OP, I thought I was just really weird- I get a week after my period where nothing's really wrong, I am so tired on my period i can barely function, the days before it I'm cranky, ache and get angry and the rest of the month/ovulation just feels like my period 'is coming for two bloody weeks, lots of bowel pain too.
I started vitamin D and b12 a few months ago after a blood test said they were low but it hasn't changed it. GP says it's probably a hormonal imbalance as I often have ovarian cysts but no word on how to actually sort that out Hmm.
Have you had a transvaginal ultrasound to check for cysts etc?
I'm considering going back on the pill to see if it helps as the doctor has also suggested this but am a bit reluctant as I don't get on that well with it mood wise.
My current thought process is that I may look into acupuncture, it's a shame that because it's boiled down to 'women's troubles' these things are not taken very seriously, feeling good one week a month only highlights how shit you feel the other 3, it's depressing!
Fingers crossed for you there is no endo found on your laparoscopy, I've had two and luckily none was found in my instance, but if you have any questions about them am happy to share!

Delatron · 03/11/2018 13:58

don’tgobaconmyheart I had an ovarian cyst too. But they just do a ‘wait and see’ policy. Great.

Clearly these hormonal issues are affecting so many of us and are having a big impact on our life. I had to retrain to do a less tiring job as I am so exhausted for at least 10
days a month.

Vitamin D etc does help a bit but my hormones are still out of wack.

nattingherz · 03/11/2018 16:21

Had ultrasound not long ago and no cysts or abnormalities found.
Hormone blood tests were apparently "normal" so god knows.
Fed up.

I'm suffering extreme tiredness due to anaemia. I'm on high dose iron but my periods are so heavy I never get a chance to build up my iron. I'm having a mirena coil this week and hoping that'll be the answer
