To think it's too bloody late for fireworks?

Am I just being a miserable fun thief or is it too late for fireworks, on a Wednesday evening that is not fireworks night or Diwali?

I have a poorly baby who settled for the first time tonight until bang bloody bang! And even if I didn't I might want to sleep myself? 🤔

It's way too late.

It’s Halloween. That’s why there’s fireworks. I do agree about them being too late. I hate the fuckers, because they scare the poor animals.

Halloween does not mean that there should be fireworks. Definitely too late OP!

Definitely too late, and illegal as its after 11, unfortunately although the law is in place I don't see how it could ever be enforced?

I find it weird that people seem to be conflating Halloween and Bonfire Night (why are people calling it Fireworks Night all of a sudden, though?).
Surely it ruins Bonfire Night if the kids have seen fireworks the weekend prior?

Goawayfirework · 31/10/2018 23:48

I don't believe it. Just managed to get her into her cot again and she'd started snoring and they've started again. I understand a bit at the weekend or on fireworks night

It's such a shame as Halloween has been lovely, loads of really polite children and a great atmosphere.

@TheWiseWomansFear you are right, it is Bonfire night - my parents always called it fireworks night and I suppose it has stuck!
