To dress my baby in DS's unisex and blue/grey etc. Boys clothes even if DC turns out to be a girl?

I hate waste, am not finding out the gender anyway and could always put a flowery hair band on her or something if the babies a she

Thanks @moredoll I didn't know that....

Think I'm just gonna reuse the clothes tbh as they barely got worn especially in early months as my baby was giant!

maybe I'll iron on some flowers or something?

I'm not sure you're supposed to iron your baby's head. Maybe use blu tack?

I had DS then 3 DDs. DD3 is currently rocking a dark green coat with a furry hood because it is far warmer than any of the girly ones we've acquired. Not sure why boys need to be warmer than girls!
I really don't think it matters. It seems to bother other people if they can't tell though!
They can always ask.
I'm not keen on the headbands but that might be because I have bald babies...

My son spent most of his first three months in his sister's old flowery babygrows. They don't care at that age and I too can't stand the waste.

Hadalifeonce · 02/11/2018 11:38

All my new born stuff was white, lasted for both. I used nighties rather than babygrows, as it doesn't matter too much if it's a little small. Although one nurse in hospital decided to take DS for a nappy change, when she brought him back, she looked at me and said 'it's a boy!'
Obviously the nightie confused her.

Yanbu but do consider babies don’t tend to look like boys or girls

That's not always true. My DD always looked like a boy, even when wearing his sister's pink flowery babygrow. Even strangers who had never met him before knew that he was male without asking. Hmm

Vampiratequeen · 02/11/2018 11:57

My DD was my first and I hate pink, so I bought her mostly boys clothes anyway when she was a baby, she still wears some boys clothes now she is 4, mainly because she likes Paw Patrol and PJ masks and all the decent clothes with the characters she likes on are boys clothes.

although you do get older people saying girls should be in pink Really? So why am I sitting here feeling glad that all this "pink for girls" rubbish wasn't around when I was bringing up my babies?
