To be touched out... by the cat?

I have to stand up all the time because as soon as I sit down, she's there, like an omnipresent lap monster.

It's not too bad if she settles but she wants fussing and headbutts me or climbs up my chest to stick her nose in my mouth if I stop stroking her.

I'm hiding in the kitcten but she's staring at me through the door.

Oh yes I hear you op. I have a super needy cat who has to be on me the minute my arse hits a chair. Then she kneads my stomach/thighs/boobs with her claws out. All of my clothes are full of holes and snags. There are three other people in the house but none of them get this treatment Hmm

Bluelonerose · 30/10/2018 19:08

I also have a limpet like cat. She likes to bury her head in my dressing gown then always manages to knead her claws into my nipples. Also I am not allowed to pick ANYTHING up if she requires fuss. Drink, phone, dc she wants to be between them and me!

I've just escaped for a fag and before ide stood up she's in my seat. She's also pissed off it's cold goes outside for 30 seconds then comes back in and meows like crazy.
Bloody love her to bits though Grin

Huh, I am very jealous. Have always had cats that are sooooo independent, apart from one needy-ish Persian. I am nursing a broken ankle at present and even the extremely lap-crazy dog is avoiding me because of my robocop boot.

I say take it while you can.....Wink

She woke me up this morning licking my arm pit.

I’m not a cat person, but that is v cute, OP! I’m always running after my little dog begging for snoggy cuddles!

I have two cats - one needs attention all the time and will plonk herself on my lap and her favourite place is to sit on my hip or in the crook of my bent knees when I am lying on my side in bed... which then means I cannot move position all night.

The other one likes to do her own thing until bedtime at which point, if shes come in for the night, she has to get onto either mine or DDs bed and she will not settle unless you put a hand out so that she can lie on top of it. She will paw and knead at any part of you she can get to but the second you put your hand out she will curl up and go to sleep.

Both of my cats are black so I will be keeping them at night in for the next week or so until the fireworks subside so I won't be getting a full and restful night's sleep for a while.

I run a retreat programme for needy cats that like cuddles and stroking. It’s a very effective programme for reducing the amount of time they spend bothering their owners. PM me for rates.

Oops sorry guys wrong thread!

I do have an extremely clingy cat though, so much so my DH gets jealous. I can’t sit down without her wanting to share my space. She takes over whatever I’m doing and sits on it without a thought. In fact, my username is in honour of her Smile

My 12 ish year old rescue kitty does this! He's been with me 10 years and my DH used to call me Mary with my little lamb when he first arrived as hi literally followed me everywhere - kids came along and he took a back seat for a bit, the last 3/4 years or so he literally craves my attention, e have a breakfast bar island withe a table not too far behind and if I'm sitting there working or whatever sometimes thusnlittle paw starts patting me from behind on my shoulder - literally makes me think the ghosts are out in force lol! He won't leave me either, food is a brief let up, he's now over weight the amount of times he gets half a pouch of food to give me some peace!
But he's adorable and I'd be so lost if he goes to the kitty heaven ❤️

mine is similar, but she is also a complete tart so if anyone visits they are subjected to the cling.

She particularly likes men. My carer is male and fortunately a cat lover, she adores him.

My dad, well he arives for a cisit and has a cat on his knee until we go oout or he goes to bed, when she follows him to bed.
