Have you ever watched a movie so ridiculous and nonsensical that you HAD to watch it 'till the end to see how it ends?

I've just tortured myself through 'Splatter'. Utter codswallop, but I had to watch it all the way through. I already know IBU. Grin

Anyone else ever do this?

Was it ZomBeavers? Thank you for the correction!

It was just stunning in its awfulness! I think it has in fact replaced 13 Erotic Ghosts as my favourite terrible film ever!

wishywashy6 · 30/10/2018 00:24

Sharknado. Most ridiculous film ever

PyongyangKipperbang · 30/10/2018 00:26

Kate The Human Centipede? I struggled to make it through the Wiki page about that....was it as bad as it sounds? The only one that sounded worse was The Serbian Film, I didnt make it past the mid way for the plot description of that. Only looked it up as it was referenced in something I read, I really wish I hadnt. DO NOT GOOGLE IT.

OlennasWimple · 30/10/2018 00:29

I have had to make myself be really harsh and switch off / close the book if after 5 mins I'm not enjoying it, otherwise I feel compelled to see if through to the bitter end

Kate - I admit to being intrigued by the centipede film... Is it so bad it's good, or just awful?

Uniquack · 30/10/2018 00:49

@PyongyangKipperbang - I'm going to have to watch that now Grin.

Katedotness1963 - The Human Centipede

To my shame I have to admit I watched suffered through all of them. And yes, they really are that bad.

BetterEatCheese · 30/10/2018 00:50

Yes ... 'Sharknado'

Uniquack · 30/10/2018 00:51

@OlennasWimple - The first one is awful. The second one is just plain bizarre. The third one - well, that's just taken to a while new level of bad acting and awfulness.

like a pp, not a film but books... i had to read the the 50 shades books to see if they could get better..... they didnt " Oh my"

TuMeke · 30/10/2018 02:02

I did that with Red Sparrow. It was obvious it was dreck after 10 mins but I hate watched the rest of it to check it really was as shit as I thought (spoiler: it was). God knows what Jennifer Lawrence was thinking!!

Dreamscomingtrue · 30/10/2018 02:02

I watched Men and chicken on tv the other night. Truly awful.

ninecoronas · 30/10/2018 02:27

I'm glad I watched til the end of Zombeavers...the closing credit song is AMAZING!

sobeyondthehills · 30/10/2018 02:39

Oh and any number of modern B movies......Ghost Shark, Sharktopus, anything involving a Megladon or a giant crocodile.

This, plus any sequels, you might not know exist, including tremors 1-5 lake placid 1-5 anaconda 1-5 From dusk till Dawn 1-4 all the sharknados and the classic lavalantula and 2 lava 2 lantula

And who ever said cockney Vs Zombies, should try pride and pejudice and zombies and scouts guide to the zombie Apocalypse

sobeyondthehills · 30/10/2018 02:40

From dusk till Dawn 1-4 Sorry that should be 1-3

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 30/10/2018 02:48

Twice.
Mulholland Drive & The Blair Witch Project
On both occasions I stayed up far too late to see the end cos I felt “well, I’ve invested this much time.......”
What a fucking joke
Mulholland Drive made absolutely no fucking sense whatsoever (admittedly I may have been slightly tipsy)
And the end of Blair Witch was as weak as a sailors arseole
I’m still fucking furious

LilMadAgain · 30/10/2018 03:05

Oi back off and leave From Dusk till Dawn 1 alone, awesome film. Gooey squelchy non glittery vampires, fantastic soundtrack and a tattooed bad boy. What more do you want??

CocoLoco87 · 30/10/2018 03:05

The most recent one, which totally shows what stage of life we're in, is me and DH watching Thomas & Friends, Blue Mountain Mystery movie just to see who the yellow engine was that Luke pushed into the sea. Gripping stuff. I'd like to say the kids watched it with us...but no Grin

*Spoiler alert! It was Victor, and due to the time he spent in the sea, he had to be repainted and chose burgundy.

Yep I agree 1 is great its just a shame about 2 & 3

mapala · 30/10/2018 03:57

You've reminded me of 100 Days of Sodom. All sorts of disgusting stuff in that but the thing that stands out is the meal of human faeces served on a silver salver.

LadyLaSnack · 30/10/2018 04:57

I watched every episode of every season of Lost until the penultimate episode and stopped.

I couldn’t bear one second more of my life to be wasted by it’s non sensical, rule breaking, cheating, nonsense plot.

I still have no idea how it ends.,8 can’t remember all the earlier episodes now, so I’d have to rewatch them before the last one if I cared.

(Obviously I enjoyed the earlier series, it just got more and more ridiculous and I stuck with it in a situation akin to boiling a frog).

Bluntness100 · 30/10/2018 05:09

Snakes on a plane. Seriously, absolute shite and quite gross with it.

gothefcktosleep · 30/10/2018 05:19

MADE myself through burning-tired eyes watch to the end of Ray. Only to look st my husband and say “oh, we have watched that film before and it really was boring, wasn’t it”

Then I fell asleep, but I felt so cheated it was such a boring ending I had forgotten having seen it.

shearwater · 30/10/2018 06:00

Yes, Bedtime Stories. The kids were watching it the other day. It wasn't made very long ago but was so sexist and racist.

Wincarnis · 30/10/2018 06:03

Agree with pp, Mulholland Drive.....awful
Will throw in Eraserhead, El Topo, The Langoliers..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

joystir59 · 30/10/2018 06:07

Not a film but read ‘the Road’ and was certain that something was going to happen at some point but it never did. Found this book when I was hankering to read something well written and after the first page I was filled with gratitude. Brilliant.
