Just that really. Have three weird shaped buggers looking at me on the bench right now. Feeling a bit blank and keep putting off. I've a tallish one that I'm going to do as a scream mask. Please share yoir ideas - and pics! just a nosey fucker really

We have 6 of them. Two have normal “jack o lantern faces” this one my husband carved and we are paiting another one with a tardis design. My husband and myself have to do the Rambo one and a giant one so I’m not sure what they will be yet; but hopefully they’ll be good!

Tips on carving a pumpkin?

I've only ever done it once. Bought a cheap 'carving set' from the corner shop.

Tried to do a basic face with a zig-zaggy scary mouth and lots of the pointy bits would snap off.

Don't get how people do these really intricate designs with tiny slithers cut out etc.

Elasticity I use a normal veg knife. I've always thought those carving kits looked like they would snap. I guess make the design as simple as possible too. I always try and scrape off as much flesh from the inner wall as I can so the skin isn't too thick IYSWIM

elasticity i always print out a stencil from the internet, then tape it on. I then use a very sharp knife to cut out, rather than a carving kit, although someone above mentioned it easier to use a scalpel.

I use a mix of carving kit saws and craft scalples.

Finally finished for another year havent time to do more this year.

Can’t believe how detailed some of these are. Must’ve taken ages!
Ours are standard. The second one in is meant to be a panda for our 3 month old. Although I’m disappointed with the state of the pumpkin but never mind!
The third one is eating a scared apple!

Poodles and Lottie I'm loving all of yours.
How I would love to see them all together. Like when loads of people go to a firework display. Why does everyone not congregate in one place with their pumpkins? It would look spectacular!
