ok is this a crazy idea. Do you think they might do a delivery on Christmas day ?

We have been to a Chinese restaurant for Christmas dinner once, it was great!

Not sure I would want to reheat a takeaway delivered the day before though, sounds a bit grim.

We used to do this as kids.

We had big roast Christmas Eve. Reheated Chinese Christmas Day , Boxing Day tea at Gran’s

My only wouldn’t is reheat the rice . If you really can’t be bothered frozen or microwave rice.

Chinese food and going to the movie theatre is a Jewish tradition in the US. Lots of my friends still do it.

Have at it, OP!

My DCs don’t like roast so we have had pasta bake one year, went to an Indian restaurant another. Not sure what the plan is this year, but if it’s a roast I won’t be the one cooking it - it’s not that it’s a huge amount of work, it’s that it’s a huge amount of work that isn’t appreciated!

As a PP has said, it’s a thing amongst Jewish people in the US. I did it when I lived in NYC - Chinese and a film. Fab.

They’re open and they deliver on Christmas Day where I live (I know this from extensive experience).

@littlemisscomper i reheat takeaways all the time if I can be bothered. Sometimes they haven't even been in the fridge overnight. Sometimes I just eat them cold. Never made me ill. Imagine that

Where are you, junk?
