“Saved” this gorgeous boy and now he’s mine! He’s so silky soft and friendly, took some coaxing out from under the sofa but he’s now with me in DDs room.

Can’t think of a name! Grin

We had a lovely tabby boy when I was little called sparky. We have 2 cats just now and their fur is very different! Ones really fluffy and the other is super silky.

agnurse · 28/10/2018 01:26

steff13

The freaky thing is that your cats resemble our Mr. Bigglesworth and a cat we used to have named Jeannette - except that Biggie is a ginger TOM and Nettie is a tuxedo QUEEN!

steff13 · 28/10/2018 02:44

That's funny. Sunny is actual a Maine coon mix. You can't tell by her, but her sister Cher is huge and fluffy and looks like a typical Maine coon.

agnurse · 28/10/2018 03:11

This is Biggie (bottom) and Jeannette (top). Hubby had just come in the house in this picture; they are looking at him.

Nettie is a domestic shorthair and Biggie is a domestic medium hair. We do not know their history as they were both shelter cats and Nettie was a stray.

Sheldon? ‘Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur...’
Sorry for the ear worm.

claraschu · 28/10/2018 04:14

Beautiful puss!

Cats don't roll in fox wee, or need baths! I have had cats for 50 years, and they take great care of their own fur; they spend many hours a day on it, and some of them are just incredibly soft.

Figural · 28/10/2018 04:26

I had a Squirrel! She was a lovely cat despite being a rabbit murderer. A total neurotic fruitbat, and totally adorable. She was a light tabby colour glazed with transparent orange patches.

Squirrel is an excellent name for a cat. Smile

MrsA2015 · 28/10/2018 07:02

Grin loving all the cats!! @steff13 my mums cat does exactly the same thing he’s a huge ragdoll and must sleep with his paws on your face almost kissing you lol

I like jimmy or sid considering his name is actually Giovanni Hmm

I see someone has already suggested Dave so I shall second it. Or Steve. Or Gary.

He's a lovely boy! My lad is called Shock. He has the softest fur, his mum was a Maine Coon and his dad was an old ginger moggy. He looks like his dad. But massive.

I like cats with titles. Mr, Sargeant, Professor something etc. Mine has a military rank although is affectionately known by his second name most of the time and only referred to by his rank when he’s being naughty or when his name is read out in the vet’s waiting room.

TroysMammy · 28/10/2018 07:43

If I have another tabby I'm going to call him Spot after the canny cat in Hong Kong Phooey.

BellMcEnd · 28/10/2018 07:43

I love tabby (well, all) cats. He’s beautiful. What about Toby?

MrsA2015 · 28/10/2018 07:44

@DeadButDelicious he’s gorgeous I just want to rub my face in his fur Grin

@DinoGreen yes I’d rather have a title being called our at the vets as opposed to “foofies” my poor poor budgie who died years ago, even the vet couldn’t keep a straight face through telling me he needed to be PTS Sad

DinoGreen

Our Biggie's real name is Mr. Bigglesworth. We just usually call him Biggie or Mr. Big for short (or the Big Dope if you're Hubby Grin)

My parents have a lovely tuxedo named Lady Jane.

thegreylady · 29/10/2018 06:43

My cats are Trevor and Colin but I have also had a pedigree Siamese called Rover and a Tonkinese called Haggis.
How about Bertie for yours?

JaceLancs · 29/10/2018 07:33

Reuben is grey and white with very soft fur
We also have a tabby called Evie

I think Gary too. My Dh calls our cat Dog. As in Whats up Dog, (instead of Doc) Sadly the cat is starti g to answer to it, and comes if you whistle too.

MrsA2015 · 29/10/2018 08:47

@Troels that’s made me laugh! My daughters stuck calling him Giovanni thanks to previous owners so it’s gio for short Envy I really like jimmy

Love all these pictures! These cats are gorgeous.
What about Boris? We had a gorgeous ginger tabby called Boris when I was little, he was stunning.
Love the pic of them all over your DP’s lap. I love cat families! You’re my people x
