The worst thing about being a single parent is that...

Nobody ever makes you a cup of tea. Especially late at night.

And besides the tea (which I can now ask DS17 for without any begrudging remarks at all) is that it's possible to become really damn good at being a single parent. So good at it that it becomes almost unimaginable to let anyone else into the 'machine'.

Just an observation based on personal experience; and my 'machine' is still working so if it ain't broke I ain't fixing it, and don't no one tell me otherwise. And so we become 'harder nuts to crack' and Catch22 we become eternal SPs.

I actually can't imagine it any other way now...the thought of living with someone else just makes me appreciate my single parent life however hard it can be
