That homework hasn’t just got a typo in it, it’s truly awful with no redeeming features.

From the design & construction, to the age appropriateness and stylistically, well, it’s shocking!

So, although I disapprove of trigger finger shaming on social media, I do think the school have some explaining to do. Not to us, but to the parents of the pupils who attend this school, as I suspect this homework is the tip of the iceberg.

What on earth is going on in a school where this content is considered appropriate teaching materials?!

I’d hope it’s all a little/ big mistake on the part of ‘one bad apple’ / overwhelmed new teacher etc, but realistically, it’s probably a sign of the culture as a whole, especially when followed up with the head teacher trying to close down any discussion (vs taking it off line, which would have been entirely sensible). ‘One bad apple’ tends to mean one poor teacher being hung out to dry as well, soooo...
