Just dropped DS1 ( nearly 7 ) at a classmates party in local community centre.
All of other Mums sat around edge of hall chatting. I just couldn't wait to get out.
DS1 has my mobile number in trouser pocket and i OK'd it with birthday girls Mum.
HAve DS2 to look after, but even if i didn't, can't really see the need to stay.
Is it me??

I tend to stay at parties, and somehow always end up helping pass food, pour drinks, take children to the bathroom, etc. I'd be willing to dump/go, but as I don't drive in London, there is usually not enough time to actually go anywhere/do anything before it's time to pick up again.

I left my 4 year old at a party today. I was manning a stall at the primary school fete so couldn't stay, although I am not sure I would have anyway. The mum knew I wasn't able to be there, my dd was fine, with a large group of her friends and I had another girl's mum looking out for her. I would think it wierd to stay at a 7 year old's party.
