should I dye my greys?

I have been inspired by the post about how the lady with the afro is treated when wearing her hair naturally....

I have a friend who was working in a professional office environment and was told by a colleague to dye her hair as her greys looked unprofessional.

I am getting a streak of grey and had decided not to dye, but now I wonder whether people will treat me differently because of it?

Slightly OT but I highly recommend the L’Oréal colour sprays for hiding regrowth. Obviously won’t help a full head of grey but they’re very good for hiding regrowth if you dye it abd it’s growing out.

Growing old is a privilege that is denied to so many.

I don’t cover my grey hair. I embrace it. I embrace my wrinkles and the aching limbs.

It is not embarrassing to grow old. It is a total privilege and I will let it happen. If other people have a problem with that I think that says more about them that it does about my grey hair.

Since I had a C section, started to get greys, got crinkly eyes when I smile etc etc (I'm 37) I've developed a new attitude in my head... When I notice one of these signs of age/ experience I just think to myself "That's how my body is now". It's liberating! I don't regret my life so far and this is just what I look like now.

However I must admit I do sometimes run over my greys with the ghds because they are crazy wiggly wires that stand out at 90 degrees for the rest of my hair which is straight, if allowed.

Grey hair doesn't look unprofessional nor does it make you look old. Old fashioned thinking makes you look old.
