To wear earplugs at night

I have 4mo, right next to me, who I'd hear if she needed me and a 4yo DS in next room who id also hear if he was crying or in distress.

I'm just so tired from laying awake listening to DD snuffling and DH snoring every night.

I wear earplugs every night OP and it’s fine, I can always hear the baby crying I think you’re on high alert anyway! It was the snuffling that kept me awake too the earplugs just drown out the low level noise a bit. I wouldn’t perhaps if the baby was in another room but if they’re right beside you you will be fine!

Thanks, I know I'd hear her. And DH is there too most nights, he's just not on high alert like me!

I would definitely use them but they irritate my daith piercing. We have a fan on and white noise on the iPad which covers annoying low level noises. 11 month old and DH farting and snoring, 6yo autistic ds mumbling and faffing around in sleep. I find it really soothing and cant sleep without the fan and white noise now.

My DS is autistic too and will often wake for a bit in the night. He will happily entertain himself in his room but he is NOISY! I often have to listen to whole episodes of Bing repeated verbatim at 3am.

Oh gosh the only thing worse than day time Bing is middle of the night Bing Grin
My son just does a lot of manouevres in the night, bed making, then remaking, clothes changing. I let him get on with it now, it causes more chaos if I try to stop him!

My husband now mostly sleeps in the spare room because he snores so horrifically. I also have got used to sleeping with white noise on because I've become such a light sleeper as the sole getterupper in the night (husband sleeps through any and all noise). I haven't slept a full night through now in about 6 years and doubt I will for some time to come. I guess sometimes this is just our lot as parents :(

I did this with my son. If he woke I’d hear him, if he was shuffling around, sniffing and farting in his sleep I didn’t. Meant I got some rest

I’ve used earplugs since DS was a noisy snuffling snorting newborn. Can’t sleep without them now!
