To wonder when the catching of nursery bugs will slow down?

In the last three weeks, we’ve had chicken pox, hand foot and mouth, vomiting and diarrhoea - for some reason that was just me- and now a bad cold. I feel so sorry for my 11 month old baby, so annoyed about all her expensive missed swimming lessons and fun birthday parties and so crap about all the work i’ve Missed at a busy time of year. And terrified about my dh’s upcoming eight day business trip.

This is just a wail really. She’s been in nursery two months three days a week is this just life now or will we all get healthy again soon?

Weirdly the chicken pox which she caught a fortnight ago was not too bad. Feverish for a day which was miserably but then she was pretty cheerful, just covered in pox and unable to go anywhere but crawling round the house like a maniac.

About 6 months to a year. Expect about 6 episodes of sickness in the first year.

The first winter in nursery was brutal. Much better after that. Dd is 6 and after 2 years in school has only had one sick day.
