I feel such a fool 
We were due to have a wine tasting for our wedding this weekend, but due to various work related cock-ups we can’t make it. I emailed the co-ordinator at the hotel late last night to briefly explain and cancel. We’d booked a meal in the hotel for after.
I typed this ‘unfortunately we can’t make the trip up for the wine tasting this weekend, so please can I cancel that and the wedding we were due to have? Apologies for any inconvenience this might cause!’
CANCEL THE WEDDING.
I’ve not been answer my phone today. The hotel did get through to DP. He was very surprised about the cancelled wedding and says he knew nothing about it. They got flustered on the phone and just said ‘we’re really sorry, this must be a big shock to you as well’ but then reminded him that sadly they wouldn’t be able to refund the deposit.
He couldn’t get hold of me so text my MOH to ask if she knew about the cancelled wedding.
I finally listened to my voicemails and was totally baffled until I re-read that email.
