To be worried about flying long haul this weekend

Whilst 24 weeks pregnant

We booked a holiday early this year to Canada, then I fell pregnant a few months later

I have had my midwife check which was all fine, bloods, BP all perfect, I have a fit to fly document for the airline and relevant insurance but I am a worrier (I'm sure you can tell)

I also have the hospital compression socks provided by the midwife and know to walk around for 15 mins or so of each hour, foot exercises etc

Any tips from people who have flown 9 hours-ish before whilst pregnant would be greatly received

YANBU. Wander around the cabin, don't stay still too long and above all make sure you've got incredibly comprehensive health insurance and that they cover premature labour, birth and nicu baby care. Also that they'll fund the cost of accommodation for you if baby is born because it'd likely be stuck in Canada until its due date.

I did three long haul trips while I was pregnant. Sounds like you're on top of it. I would add drink loads of water leading up to and on the flight, and get an aisle seat to make stretching out and multiple toilet trips easier.

I did a 15 hour flight at 34 weeks. Drink lots of water and make sure you keep doing leg stretches and exercises.

I have been long haul cabin crew for 33 years and have yet to have any pregnancy related dramas on any of my flights! You will be fine. Book an aisle seat, if you are travelling with BA you can do this for free 24 hours before departure. Buy a large bottle of water after you have passed through security. The cabin crew will refill it when it is empty. Wear loose comfortable clothing, plenty of layers. There always seems to be too warm and too cold sections of the cabin responding to one temperature gauge 🙄 And do all the other things you have mentioned. You can do some leg exercises in your seat, they are probably shown in the magazine in your seat pocket or on the tv (under well being or something similar) but get some rest too. Pop a nice hand cream/moisturiser in your liquids bag to use onboard and have a wonderful holiday 😀

I did 14 hour flights as part of 29 hour door to door journeys when I was 29 and 34 weeks pregnant. It was fine. Drink plenty of water. Walk around. Move your legs and try to relax.

If you’re coming to the Rockies pack layers and a windprood jacket. We’ve already had snow!

I did long haul at about 21 weeks, all fine, i told check in staff as they like to know so can keep an extra eye on you apparently.
Wander round regularly, keep a sick bag nearby just in case! I wasn't sick but felt it occasionally.
Have a great time!
