Any make-up fans here, is this an underwhelming Xmas present?

I’m trying to get sorted for Xmas. My sister in law is 27 and loves make up, she has some products from expensive brands but can only buy these rarely given the cost.

Our budget for her Xmas present is £30ish, I was wondering whether to buy her these lip glosses as HUDA Beauty is a brand that she likes but it’s a bit out of her price range. It’s a very small present however, my concern is that she’ll be a bit underwhelmed given it’s the size of a stocking filler!

What do you think, do you think you’d like receiving this (assuming it was a brand you liked)?

I think she'll be chuffed. If she already loves the brand then she will be aware of the cost and so the size really won't matter. Better this than a massive set from a cheap brand that she won't use. I was given an Elizabeth Arden lipstick trio many years ago (when I was an impoverished student) and I was thrilled as I would never have been able to buy it myself.

Little tip in January February a lot of make up brands will be selling there advent calendars (different makeup each day sort of thing) dirt cheap. My friend got a amazing deal on one which had 2 lipgloss, foundation, primer etc worth having a look you could give it to her for her birthday...maybe minus the advent bit.

I agree. My DD is also a make up fiend and she would much rather have a tiny high end gift than a massive box of something from Boots or Superdrug.

I love expensive makeup and if that was one of the brands I liked I’d be really pleased with that. Makeup is never going to be big is it! But you know she will like it. I like that it has more than one lipstick in it too, great way to try things out.

I’d be made up with that!

Brilliant gift! I wish you were my friends lol

Totally lovely gift! Anyone who is into makeup will know Huda are a premium brand and know that this cost a fair bit. I hope others reading this realise that most people would much rather a small good quality gift they’ll use than something poor quality and huge.

Does she definitely wear gloss? I switched to lipstick a couple of years ago as I think gloss is too sticky and doesn't last.
If she likes gloss then it's a great gift. I'd much rather a small, quality gift than a bigger thing that's tat.

Great gift

That's an amazing present, I'm sure she would love it! High end makeup is always more appreciated and the recipient will know you have really considered them in choosing the gift too!

If you a buying from Sephora (I make my bank card melt in that store when visiting my sister in France!), they do a loyalty card and sometimes it comes with a little discount or gift, it maybe worth checking out if you are on a budget!

Great gift - thoughtful, useful, pretty and good quality!

Fabulous gift. As a make up geek, I’d be delighted with that.
