Apologies for cringey title but can't think how else to say it.
Over the years I seem to have lost my sense of myself somewhat. In between the DC, work, DH, keeping the house running I seem to have lost touch with the stuff that I think makes me me.
For a lot of years I have worked full time and DH works away mon-fri so I haven't had a great deal of time but of course could have squeezed things in, i just haven't.
I've always loved languages so have started doing a bit on Duolingo each evening but am struggling for other ideas. I'm thinking maybe I could make some playlists with the 90s indie I used to listen to but otherwise am stuck. would anyone be willing to share your 'me' things?

I have a secret life in my home away from my family. I am over 50 and listen to lot rap stuff. Loved all the MGK/EM stuff recently and was up on all the reaction videos and I knew all the history behind the 'disses'. My DH thinks I'm very middle of the road musically. I also watch all 'real housewives' shows when he's working (shifts). My favs being Melbourne and Sydney. I am also on lots of standard poodle sites as I would secretly love a giant black standrd poodle with pom poms. I can recognise various cuts and trims.

I love a spa day to 're-set'. If I can't go on one of those I do it at home. On Saturday I did absolutely nothing in the house, watched don't tell the bride/secret eaters/supersize v superskinny all day on YouTube, dyed my hair, blow dried & straightened it, shaved, exfoliated, moisturised, used a facemask, plucked my eyebrows, painted my finger & toe nails red and also got into the next size down jeans.

Sunday, I did the cleaning. I should have done all this the other way round because my nail varnish peeled off and I had to do it again FFS Grin Hmm

What do you love doing? It doesn’t have to be big or grand, sometimes as simple is sitting with a cuppa and watching your favourite programme.

I met a friend for coffee yesterday, it was lovely. Just little things now and again to make me feel connected again! Oh and I had a lovely browse in the beauty hall of John Lewis which was therapeutic! Bought a few bits and used them last night!

Just wanted to point out that I’m trying to find me again. This is very new for me as currently in recovery for an addiction I’ve had since my twenties. So definately lost “me” and slowly trying to find ways to rediscover a life away from the addiction. Xx

Naice coffee on my own and booking a day off work to see a friend I've known for 15 years. We've been through marriage, work promotions, babies and everything in between together. We no longer work together neither do we live near each other so a day out in London really reminds us of our younger frivolous days Smile
