NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 14/10/2018 11:50

Err yes - i am even more sceptical that thats all that happened

I live in a block of flats and people understsnd that people knock on doors

Tbh if you only knocked at a normal strentgh for maybe two knocks i'd assume it wasnt me they were telling to shut up

If you were using your full force to hammer on the door and youd left the car engine going tyen yes it waw aimed at you and be more considetate

SoupDragon · 14/10/2018 11:51

It’s an odd thing for a first post on MN TBH.

Lostnafraid · 14/10/2018 11:55

Someone’s knocking at the door
Somebody’s ringing the bell
Someone’s knocking at the door
Somebody’s ringing the bell
Do me a favour open the door
Tell um to fuck off!

Feefeetrixabelle · 14/10/2018 11:56

Were you knocking for a long time? Or excessively loudly.

Tistheseason17 · 14/10/2018 11:58

Drip....drip......drip.......

PigletJohn · 14/10/2018 11:58

Doorbells are a wonderful invention.

I have no knocker.

Policemen sometimes bang on doors.

bridgetreilly · 14/10/2018 11:59

If you're knocking on someone's door long and loud enough to disturb someone a few doors down, then yes, YABU.

Glumglowworm · 14/10/2018 12:00

YABU for posting less than half a story.

OliviaStabler · 14/10/2018 12:05

What's the AIBU?

UrsulaPandress · 14/10/2018 12:07

Yes

HTH

MissionItsPossible · 14/10/2018 12:10

Stop attention seeking. Either tell the story in full, or don’t

Elbbob · 14/10/2018 12:12

I'm a health care professionalnand recently visited a client just home from hospital. I knocked once on his flat door and his neighbour yelled 'stop fucking banging'. Then when my colleague and I left an hour later and walked down the stairs talking in normal voices he threw open his door after 10 seconds and yelled at us again.
So I can empathise OP, it's not nice, but I have no idea why you have posted a thread about it.

Thenewdoctor · 14/10/2018 12:16

What time of day? What day of the week? How loudly?

InspectorIkmen · 14/10/2018 12:19

What Mission said.

Spit it out or go back to bed OP. This is getting tiresome now

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 14/10/2018 12:20

Did you go on for ages? If so, I’ve been known to shout similar.

LividAtDolphins · 14/10/2018 12:20

Were they a mumsnetter and it was after 6:30pm and you hadn’t given the requisite 3 months’ notice?

Grin
missyB1 · 14/10/2018 12:30

I reckon OP is a Mil and forgot that she is only allowed to visit once every 3 months for half an hour when Dil has gone on a spa day.

CupMug · 14/10/2018 12:34

What’s it with all the half story posts on Mumsnet today?

Babymamamama · 14/10/2018 12:48

Ummm let's see ..... why didn't you ring them? Knocking in the door is a bit outdated and full on. Hth.

Flowerpot2005 · 14/10/2018 13:57

Definitely a jehovas witness with a watchtower booklet 🤣

minniebow · 14/10/2018 14:02

Does the house you were knocking at get a lot of visitors? It can be really annoying in housing that’s so close together. My NDNs have at least 10 visitors a day and I’m starting to think they might be up to something! I don’t knock and haven’t done so in 10 years since having a smartphone, it’s not necessary. Only do so when I can’t tell the person I’m there by phone so saves annoying neighbours/waking babies etc

tillytrotter1 · 14/10/2018 14:33

Sounds like another MN user!
