Hi my daughter is 15 and wants to do street dance and that is fine if that's what she wants but she has her heart set on becoming really good and shows me videos of dance groups and she says one day she would like to be as good as them. I don't want to upset her but is street dance something you can really get good at especially at 15?? I thought it was a bit like singing, you either have the natural talent for it or don't

Does it matter? She could go out there and have some fun. She might not become a professional or be as amazing as the youtubers. But so what? If she likes it. She will understand her own skills when she goes to the training.

My daughter is 12. She started street dance about 8 weeks ago. She entered a beginners competition yesterday, danced two dances, and came 4th and 2nd. So no, I don't think your daughter's too old. If she's motivated and willing to learn and work hard, she can achieve anything

she's 15, not 55. YABVU

A youngster I know once said that his mum would love to learn English (not a native speaker) but she’s too old now so she won’t do it.

She was 40 at the time.

What limits we put on ourselves!

I teach my 67 year old MIL English and she is getting pretty good now, started from knowing nothing but now we can have a chat about the weather.

Unless you’re in your grave, you can learn.
