To remedy a situation only to make it ten times worse?
Just in the middle of telling my son off and I've stood up too fast and smacked my head of the kitchen cupboard corner resulting in an egg on my head, it actually made me more furious and angry and then I felt ridiculous and now I feel tearful. Grin

Oh bless you - yes many times - I’ve done my stern voice and finger wagging only to forget mid sentence what I was saying

More recently I threw some laundry at my son because he was too lazy to pick it up and put it in the bathroom- he ducked, it went out of the window and landed on my neighbours car who was just reversing into their drive.

Also ran after my son who was stealing my chocolate only to get my cardigan caught in the door handle and ended up on my arse

I shouted at my son earlier for trying to peel the wallpaper off the wall - he ran towards me in tears and ended up smacking his head on the door 😫 I felt awful!

anitagreen · 13/10/2018 18:33

Oh @lexi727 bless him, I've caused my daughter an injury before I asked her to hurry up as we was late for school she tried to scoot faster on her scooter and flew off it, I felt like the worlds worst parent

I turned round to grab DD in the playground so she didn't go into a little play house I noticed too late had been used as a drinking and smoking den. Fell in the mud and broke my ankle in 3 places.

@SodTheBloodyLotOfThem oh my god I think your the winner here Shock

Yep! Whilst walking with my dd (9) who insisted on wearing my size 6 heeled boots (she’s size 3) I was telling her to look where she was going because she was going to trip over and what did I do....trip over thin air and fall flat on my face, ladder my tights and grazing my knee! Dd was very concerned, she said “don’t worry mummy, no one saw and I won’t tell anyone”!

SodTheBloodyLotOfThem · 13/10/2018 18:39

OP the worst thing is I had been feeling guilty about too much screen time and a lack of fresh air (I was pregnant and tired). There was a lot of screen time in the following weeks.

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 13/10/2018 18:45

(But of course she told EVERYONE. Probably just as well, there was blood pouring down my shin and I’d rather everyone knew I was a clumsy twat than thinking I was having a monster period and “free flowing”.)

anitagreen · 13/10/2018 19:29

I'm so glad I am not the only one to do this then
@SodTheBloodyLotOfThem it's one of them times when you must of thought why did I even bother leaving the house?!

@Wellfuckmeinbothears free flow monster period really tickled me , sorry about your shin x
