So..ive just been stung a bit. My son had a visit from a theatre school this week at school and LOVED it. I booked him a free trial today but didn't think about it very much as I've had a busy week and he doesn't usually enjoy these things very much. Anyway, it was the perfect time, perfect location, great teachers and he LOVED it. Only snag it's usually £25 a session!!
Now I am a bit tight, in his whole 5.5 years he's only done a term of 1:1 swimming so I guess I could look at it as I've not spent much on these things, but is this way too much of reasonable?
Do people spend this much a week on activities? Maybe if he's just doing 1 I can justify it in my head.
There are so many things I could spend £25 a week on that are more fun (to me anyway..)
I could even buy him a shed load of Lego for the equivalent!

If he really loves it I think you should let him have a go if possible - it's definitely a better way to spend money than on Lego I think, he'll be enjoying himself while learning and socialising :)
I spend just under £40pw on DDs activities BUT I am lucky to have some support from her dad to fund them

Well I was joking a little bit about the Lego. It's £50 for the next 2 sessions which will take me up until mid November to save up and think about it.
Just as my youngest gets his 30 hours free and we get a bit of financial wiggle room back.

90 minutes, so in that sense pretty good as swimming can be £10 for 20 minutes.

we pay £6 for an hour dance class and I think that’s a lot as her other one is only £4- I must actually be lucky where we are!...but if he loves it then it’s worth it I suppose!
