To dump this bag of rubbish on the pavement?

ScentWorkBags · 11/10/2018 07:44

Got up this morning to put recycling bins out and someone has put a full bin bag of 3ltr cider bottles in my bin Hmm

WIBU to take it out and leave it in pavement for bins to take because
A) I have a load of recycling I need to put in there myself!
B) They've left it in a bin bag which means they won't take my bin as it's non recyclable.
C) I don't want the bin man, who I always say hello to, to think I'm a raging alcoholic with a penchant for cheap cider!

Photographic evidence attached.

If there are other bins just find one with space and put your rubbish in it. There, that was easy, wasn't it?

LittleBookofCalm · 11/10/2018 09:53

take the lids off and squash them, dont be pathetic.

Yeah, bollocks to the owner of that bin. Who cares if that doesn't leave them with enough room for their own rubbish, as long as OP has sorted out her (non) problem?

longwayoff · 11/10/2018 09:54

Thanks for that snowy. That first world tat thats giving oeople conniptions about disposal, ooh its dirty, will soon enough find its way to the thirld world where people are drowning in our 'recycling'.

LittleBookofCalm · 11/10/2018 09:54

I have anxiety and germ related intrusive thoughts andntendancies (not OCD diagnosed)

They saw you coming op

JellyBears · 11/10/2018 09:55

Seriously 😐 I couldn’t even try and care about this tbh. At least they put it in the recycling bin and not on the floor. Leave it and the bin men will take it away.

Snowymountainsalways · 11/10/2018 10:16

longwayoff I assuming you also eat and drink food and throw away things, so you too are contributing to problems no? Unless of course you expect to never wash and survive on thin air.

Buy a proper bin lock. We had a problem with people dumping rubbish in the recycling bin so we fitted the gravity bin locks that automatically allow the bin to open when it's tipped to a certain angle (by the bin lorry).

We pay privately for our bin collection here and the rubbish bin is automatically weighed before being emptied because you are charged a collection fee plus a fee according to the amount of rubbish you dispose of. Unfortunately, people who don't want to pay for a bin collection try to dump their rubbish in half empty bins and don't care if it's a recycling only bin. Angry

BrokenWing Yes, I realise it is different, I just felt like mentioning not everybody can and wants to handle somebody else’s rubbish and you more than implied people who wouldn’t were snowflakes tbh!

PeanutButterAndJamOnToast · 11/10/2018 12:12

Seriously OP, get a bloody grip, it's 3 bottles, they're hardly going to leave your bin overflowing is it?!? Just empty the bag into the recycling bin then dump your recycling on top and then squash it down.

Can believe you're actually going to ring the council over a plastic carrier bag with 3 empty cider bottles in it HmmHmmHmm

PeanutButterAndJamOnToast · 11/10/2018 12:16

Sorry, just seen it's more than 3 (misread the OP) but my advice still stands. You're being ridiculous.

Sweetpea55 · 11/10/2018 12:42

I once looked out of my bedroom window in the very early hours,,to see my cow of a neighbour shoving one of her rubbish bags in my bin.(bins were out for emptying later that day.)

So later on i went out and dumped her bag on her drive, CF

NobodysChild · 11/10/2018 13:30

@Sweetpea55 Really? and her rubbish affected you how? It's all rubbish and it all gets sent to the same recycling depot. As you say, it was due for collection that day, so what was the problem?

imamouseduh · 11/10/2018 13:34

Just empty it into your recycling bin, throw away the plastic. Then get a real problem. If you put it in the street it's flytipping.

diddl · 11/10/2018 15:12

"Just empty it into your recycling bin, throw away the plastic."

There's no room as Op has her own recycling to put in the recycling bin!

Maybe Sweetpea had her own rubbish to put in?

Round here they won't take your rubbish if your bin lid won't close due to being overstuffed.

Plus some people keep their bins immaculate not me and don't appreciate someone else's maggoty food remains stinking up their bin.

Some people wash out their bins with bleach and a kettle of hot water on bin day not me.
