My husband would buy that for me.. and then silk and not understand why I don’t like it

My 14 year old son would think that is pure class! He wears a lot of camo gear and can't make eye contact with girls.

Saddam Hussein would have bought that. His whole palace was like it - I used to have a great book about the decor in famous dictators homes, and his wasn't even the worst.

longwayoff it's called Dictators' Homes by Peter Yorke/Douglas Coupland, and it is fascinating. Hitler's sitting room was a lot like my Grandad's, except for the swastika scatter cushion. The Russian dictators homes were austere and in v. good taste, but it's downhill from there. And as for the Ceaucescu's bathrooms...!

I work for a textiles firm that makes bedding. Believe me, I have seen much worse than that!

Oh esme, I hope there's trauma counselling at your workplac. I have often wondered 1.who designs such horrors. 2. Who says great, lets make 5,000 of them. And the same applies to furniture, there are some hideous plastic horrors upholstered in weird textiles. Where does it come from?

You would be amazed how much we sell. It’s all mail order companies so who knows who is actullybuying it but the order it by the container full!
