To be pissed off with DD and OH

On Saturday DD1 asked to borrow my treasured tweezers, I agreed on the condition that they were returned and that they were not to leave the house. This evening whilst watching tv I rubbed my chin and felt not 1, not 2 not even 3 but 4 hairs. I said to OH let's pause the tv whilst I pop to the loo, go to my makeup bag and no tweezers. I then remember DD has them but is at her boyfriends, ring her and she says that she has them with her and will return them tomorrow. I rant at her and then start ranting at OH how mad I am. The more he says it's only tweezers the angrier I get, the more he asks why I need them so desperately is making me boil. Now he knows I know that he knows why I want them but there's unwritten rule that it's not to be mentioned after I gave him the death stare when he caught me plucking once. He then proceeds to start saying repeatedly not by the hair on my chinny chin chin and cracking up laughing. I want to slap him

The thing is not all tweezers are created equal. Some just simply don’t cut the mustard.

Totally get the panic re tweezers going AWOL and being constantly aware of the offending hair ... I have to keep a pair handy at all times as I am sprouting more and more stray white head hairs which have to be removed immediately ...

@Thebluedog even I laughed about it today

I have to hide my tweezers & only use them when I'm alone!!

TheLastNigel · 09/10/2018 18:42

You definitely need tweezers for the car op. They never go missing as the DD's can't be arsed to go out there, and it's the best place for visuals on the hairs.

YABU to lend out your tweezers
YABU to only have one pair
YABU for not having a secret hiding place for your tweezers
Buy 4 pairs of cheap ones for lending out, hide the real ones

I have nightmares about being in an old persons home and being to frail to be able to use tweezers!

Btw i have recently invested in one of these facial hair removers to go with my 6+ pairs of tweezers .. definitely worth the money ..its very good.. esp on neck hairs

My DH loves to refer to my chin hair as a whisker Angry. It's not a whisker it's a hair .....but he insists if it's on a chin it's a whisker.
