Walking boots

So I’m thinking of shedding out on a pair of debarry boots, but is that crazy? Aibu to ask - what boots you wear for walking?

I’ve got a pair of Meindl walking boots that I’m just about to retire after 12 years including trekking in the Himalayas and a lot of U.K. schlepping up and down big hills. Have bought the exact same pair to replace them as my feet like them so much.

I run in Solomon Fellraisers which are also great for walking if it’s too hot for boots.

They look nice for dog walking type stuff.

I can't remember what my walking boots are, they are around 15 years old, very beaten up leather but I've looked after them, treated the leather regularly and they are still fantastically waterproof. I walked coast to coast in them age 20 ish and was the only person in the group not too have a single blister. I really do need new ones (I've said this every time I wear them for the past 5 years at least) but they are so good and comfortable and have so many memories even if they don't exactly have the grip they used to have.

My Dubs are for winter school runs and everyday out and about not Walking boots.

I have Saloman walking boots which are fab.

Leather Zamberlan

I have a pair of Meindl Bhutan’s, they are brilliant. I live in Scotland though and wear them going up hills etc, sure you could get a much cheaper pair that would suit your needs easily enough. Cotswolds and Tiso are really good shops to go and try a few pairs on!

I have a pair of decathlon quechua walking /hiking boots and they are the single most comfortable thing I have ever worn on my feet and are doing a very good job of appearing to be indestructible
