People with lots of money!

BakerBear · 07/10/2018 15:59

Dh does. Its shit quality. He pays £120 for a polo top and i think the quality is dreadful.

He insists on liking this type of material (hugo boss) but i personally think if i purchased a primark top and printed hugo boss on it then he wouldnt notice the difference

I work with teenagers. They're all more expensively dressed than me. It's not a wealthy area 🤷‍♀️

NotUmbongoUnchained · 07/10/2018 16:00

I can afford to but I don’t. I’m quite tight really!

LunaTheCat · 07/10/2018 16:01

The same people on the thread wanting to choose Eton vs Harrow🤣🤣

thedevilinablackdress · 07/10/2018 16:04

People with lots of money (or lots of debt). Occasionally people who save up for a one off item.

Summerlonggone · 07/10/2018 16:05

The clothes aren’t even that nice ( I’m not bitter!)
I’ve seen nicer clothes in New Look
Just can’t believe folk would spend so much on a jacket or jumper !

People with lots of money, but I don't know many who actually want to.

I go to Hobbs for posh clothes and White Stuff for the everyday. It makes me laugh when tops and T-shirt’s in designer clothes are dry clean only. How much must the dry cleaning bills be?! I can only wear a top or dress that covers my armpits once before it needs a wash.

Justanotheruser01 · 07/10/2018 16:08

I could possibly afford to as a one piece a year thing but i just wouldn't feel comfortable im so messy id spill straight away its taken me years to take the plunge and buy uggs!

biscuiteater · 07/10/2018 16:09

Tkmaxx is for this sort of thing, cheap and some designer stuff. I would never pay top dollar for clothes, you can get lovely things for a mere fraction of the price. I like a bargain me!

Madbengalmum · 07/10/2018 16:12

I think saying that designer clothes are bad quality it a sweeping over generalisation. I buy for quality, but it very much depends on brand/price. Lower cost entry level designer items from diffusion ranges ie polo ralph lauren, hugo boss orange etc are quite often very bad value.

Thisreallyisafarce · 07/10/2018 16:13

White Stuff for the everyday Grin

itsgoodtobehome · 07/10/2018 16:32

People who work hard, earn good money, like to buy quality over quantity, don't spend a lot on other things.....oh, that would be me then!!

I know someone who only wears designer clothes. He's a teacher so not loaded but he buys a couple of choice pieces each year and has what I think is referred to as a capsule wardrobe. He looks after it all meticulously and has to get everything dry cleaned etc. Seems a right faff to me but he enjoys it.
