..... to think that people who go around resurrecting zombie threads need a hobby

Honestly. There was one just now about someone pulling out of a house sale and it was resurrected with a nothing comment saying ‘thanks for the information’ or some shit.

Please stop it and will MNHQ please put some kind of banner in the op or something. I’ve asked countless times but they never bother.

I assume you're joking 🙃 but why do people do it?

DramaAlpaca · 06/10/2018 18:34

I'm with you, OP. There should be a more obvious zombie thread warning.

Yonijust · 06/10/2018 18:35

Grin Its now my mission to find the oldest zombie.

I understand it when it is about things that don’t really change like book recommendations or the best recipe for chocolate cake but when people resurrect a question about should the op buy house a or house b it’s just annoying.
It bothers me because you read a thread about a problem with their 5 year old only to find that the 5 year old is now closer to 15. The people who resurrect it aren’t saying ‘I have the same problem can anyone help’ they are saying something utterly inconsequential.

This is the funniest thing I've seen on Mumsnet, someone coming back to answer their own question sometime later.

That's so good Grin

I almost did it because I'd done a general google e.g. for "house sale fallen through" an old mumsnet thread came up, I read it forgot it was old and was about to post advice before I realised it was from 5 years ago and the OP almost certainly no longer cares.
