AIBU?
To ask your opinions/ideas on suitable films

DD is 8 and she loves films. She's seen most of the typical cartoon/ children's films and has recently watched a few 'older' films like the goonies..
Aibu to ask for some film suggestions.. family classics.. along the lines of babe, free willy, et, that sort of thing.. the sort of films we all adored as children and are still adored today.. my minds drawn a blank!
Thanks in advance!

Has she seen any Anime films?
Mine liked animals, so things like Dunstun checks in, Tuner and Hooch, Bigfoot and the Hendersons, Bengi films.
Then there is the likes of Jumanji, Mousehunt, Maleficent, a series of unfortunate events, The spirderwick chronicles.
The musicals, hairspray, Oliver, Annie etc. The love of musicals has stayed with my youngest.
My DD's favourite films at that age was The little Princess and the Secret Garden.

Mine loved Milo and Otis - the story of a pug and a ginger cat that get lost and have to find their way back home. It was narrated by Dudley Moore.
In a similar vein they enjoyed the Incredible Journey. Both of the stories feature animals and have happy endings!
Also on the the animal theme - Dunston Checks In and Kangaroo Jack were very funny.
We love the old Ealing Comedies and the original St Trinians films.
The early Superman films were very funny too.
