Just curious really as ours is a week later than usual this year (not that it matters).
We're in Staffordshire and it's the week beginning Monday 29th October.
I know it varies depending on where in the country you are.

We live in Staffordshire and ds's half term is w/c 29th October

Dd goes to school/college in Cheshire and her half term is w/c 22nd October!

Padparadscha · 04/10/2018 10:32

Think it’s the week starting the 29th here too (Midlands). Long half terms until next year - then it seems between end of Easter and May/June half term is only 4 weeks!

Chickychoccyegg · 04/10/2018 10:47

8th-19th October here x

wejammin · 04/10/2018 10:50

22nd October for 1 week and 1 inset day. DC3 is due 26th October. I start mat leave on 22nd. Terrible timing to have 6 and 4 year old at home that week!

ileclerc · 04/10/2018 11:15

Two week half term here from 22nd

mummyhaschangedhername · 04/10/2018 11:25

29 Wales

Tiredtomybones · 04/10/2018 11:25

WC 29/10. I wish we had 2 weeks. My DC are both so tired already this term. I've already booked optician, dentist, haircuts, asthma reviews and car MOT for their week off, which leaves us with 1 full day to do something nice.

CheeseAndBeans · 04/10/2018 11:27

Week commencing 22nd Oct in Sussex.

Harleyisme · 04/10/2018 11:29

Lancashire here my primary and nursery dc are 19th and my high school dc is off fhe week after

rollonoctober · 04/10/2018 11:34

We're in staffs so 29th same as you OP - really annoying as I'm going in for ELCS on 29th, thought the kids would be back at school by then, but nope, they'll be stuck with GP's for most of half term while I'm in hospital and then recovering. They'd have been better off at school.

PinkCalluna · 04/10/2018 11:42

Scotland too, we start on the 15th.

OutPinked · 04/10/2018 11:51

Same as you here in West Yorkshire. My DM is a TA in a different city also in West Yorks and hers is the week before which is rather typical as I am having a c-section the week mine are off school and her school isn’t 😩. I wish all schools had the same schedule.

OutPinked · 04/10/2018 11:53

really annoying as I'm going in for ELCS on 29th

Snap! Grin. It’s easier for us that the DC are off school because we live in a different town to family who wouldn’t be able to do school runs for us so I’m pleased it’s fallen in the school holidays.

2 DGC - DGC1 in London, off w/b 29th, DGC2 in Shropshire, off w/b 22nd... Bit of a pain as they usually get together for a few days, but not this year..!!

TowerRingInferno · 04/10/2018 12:44

2 weeks starting Monday 15th

sugarbum · 04/10/2018 12:45

Starts 22nd - Cambridgeshire

BitchQueen90 · 04/10/2018 12:46

One week starting 29th here too in Derbyshire. 26th is also an inset day.

JessieEssex · 04/10/2018 12:49

Essex - w/c 22nd Oct
Herts (next door county) - w/c 29th Oct
Cue lots of parents with children at school in each county gnashing their teeth!

spacefighter · 04/10/2018 12:49

West Yorkshire and 29th October here too.

EmmaStone · 04/10/2018 12:51

W/c 29th October (Bristol/Bath area), but their cousins are the week before (Kent).

Rain1975 · 04/10/2018 13:48

Leicestershire we are off 15th-19th. Going to be a long way to Christmas break 😐
