Circumcision in adult male

Hi there, I am wondering if anyone can offer me any advice if they or their DP/DH has ever had a circumcision.

My husband needs to have an urgent circumcision due to a medical condition. He is having it October 23rd.

We are concerned as I am heavily pregnant, due to have a planned c-Section on 5th November.

I'd like to know about recovery times if anyone has any experience. I know he won't be able to drive if it's the same day and I wouldn't expect him to for a couple of days afterwards.

But will he be able to walk about ok? How bad is recovery from a circumcision?

Any advice or past experiences would be gratefully received!

My son had foreskin reconstruction and he was ok within a few days with painkillers. Sorry not quite the same and he was a child but but it was a similar operation.

He was fine walking too, forgot to say.

Also had a child had this but he recovered so quickly. Hardly knew he had it done.

He'll be sore for a while but able to be moving around fine after a couple of days - the excruciating bit will be the stitches pulling in night time erections!

It takes a few weeks to heal but he'll be able to do things and walk about in time although will probably be gingerly.

My son was 'done' last year. Proper pants and baggy trousers made it more comfy. Salty baths to help healing and regular painkillers.

Hubby underwent one when he was 20 and it was v v painful for the first week to 10 days. Struggled to walk and yes the night time erections were excruciating from what he said. Sorry if sounds negative but just being honest x

I had it done last year. Done on a Tuesday and was driving by Thursday afternoon. Wasn't particularly painful but was more the general anaesthetic that knocked me for a couple of days

I could've driven home the same day, but I didn't as I had no car, walked home no problem though - was a student too poor for any other option. Was completely fine all round though. When one of the dissolvable stitches came out before it was dissolved was the only significant pain, and that wasn't that bad.

Of course though, everyone has a different reaction to surgery, and a different reaction to the general anaesthetic, so it could be longer / worse, but I certainly wouldn't expect a long lay off.
