To ask where I can buy nice clothes in good fabrics?

I’m looking to update my wardrobe and would to find some easy to wear clothes in good fabrics. Does anyone have any go to places?

I have children so it needs to be easily washable too. I’d love to just look a bit more presentable and put together.

massimo dutti

have you looked at Jigsaw, Hobbs, LKBennett, Max Mara. But, frankly, if you want easily washable, I don't think you're going to get really good fabrics. Maybe try M&S for easily washable tops and just some key pieces that need dry cleaning, eg black trousers?

I've just discovered Boden and have invested in a good range of work stuff/casual wear. Their clothes are lovely quality and wash well, though I must admit I do tend to look after for discount codes!

I avoid M & S like the plague. Haven't had a good piece that's lasted more than 6 washes in about 5 years now.

I buy lots of Whistles, Hobbs, Jigsaw, plus the occasional bits from LK Bennett and & Other Stories - all from EBay. Anything decent I put on a wool wash and hang up on a hanger to dry and it’s always been absolutely fine.

Uniqlo, I love it for basics. Whistles has lots of polyester but some nice stuff. Toast, Cos, Jigsaw, Me&Em, Celtic & Co.

Bravissimo if you are big breasted...

Cos and Arket. Both have sales in at the moment.

QuaterMiss · 02/10/2018 14:59

Where do you shop now?

Puddingmama2017 · 02/10/2018 15:02

Thank you for the suggestions.

At the moment I tend to go to primark but that’s for convenience. I have shopped at new look and on eBay. I’ve just turned 30 and realised that I barely have anything that suits/fits because not bought anything really worth it. I don’t have lots of money to spend in one go so would like to start swapping out the crap for nicer items a bit at a time.

I like Oliver Bonas - sometimes hit and miss though

I love Thought. Eco friendly materials and basic enough to just be able to mix and match for work without too much effort.
