So a few weeks ago a concert was announced.
Me and two friends said we were going ..it was £35 each.
Friend 1 then said she couldn't afford it till next week.
Friend 2 got paid on Friday and yesterday said she didn't have the money till next week and could I cover her.
I really can't afford £105 till next week.
They both knew about it.
Friend 2..always has cash but every time it comes to paying for things she says she's skint.
Wibu to just say let's just leave it?

Agree with all other PPs, those aren't the actions of friends, more like hitchhikers in your life. Draw a line under it, don't pay for anything for them again and I'd be looking for new friends. Ones who don't say things like (as happened to me, she still owes me 40 quid) "but you always have money".

Why are you always the one to be expected to cover other people? That's unfair.

Ignoramusgiganticus · 02/10/2018 11:44

The last thing you should be feeling is selfish. Lots of other negative emotions directed at them, yes.

Don't cave.
They should have saved the effing money themselves.
You're not their bank.

They sound like users.

I've decided I'm 100% not going to bother.
She's probably got enough money but doesn't want to spend it.
I posted about her a few months (under a diff name just incase she seen ) when I paid for tickets then as she was "skint" then she had a night out and her and her friends blocked me on Snapchat so I wouldn't see.
Same when it comes to birthdays ..always a big hooo ahh for her birthday ..I don't even get a card.
(I know you don't give to receive but even a 35p card factory card would mean the world )
