AIBU?
Complaining abut work stuff on facebook
Parisbun · 29/09/2018 22:40
There was a McMillan coffee morning yesterday at work. Its only a small company but everyone got behind it.They did well selling cakes etc and the organiser posted the total raised on her own facebook.
Cue most of the staff congratulating her on her hard work - all very usual.
But one miserable so and so chirps in that they object to having work things on their social media no matter how good the cause.
Aibu to put in my pennyworth and let them know how miserable they are coming across as ?
Or should I let it ride. The organiser has apologised for making the post.

I agree with your point of view but I wouldn’t say anything negative about that person. You might want to post something positive to the OP but that could be seen as passive aggressive 🤔

Makes you wonder why they even have work colleagues as Facebook friends if they can’t deal with the occasional work related post!

You could totally ignore and continue with positive posts "great result and wasn't it fun?" etc etc and hopefully her negative Nellyiness will get lost as others continue positively.
I find people like this are just posting to be controversial and looking for an argument. If she felt that bothered by it, why post at all?

I would just respond with a link to an instructable on how to unfollow or unfriend people. And ask her who died and put her in charge of what people post on social media
