Put in aibu for traffic but I just took two codeine tablets for bad back pain. Then realised that they were out of date (6 months). Is anything likely to happen?!!

Medicines that shouldn't be taken after their expiry date include insulin, liquid suspensions of antibiotics, nitroglycerin. Possibly tetracycline?

I don't think some 6 months expired pain relief tablets still sealed in their blister pack are going to do anything other than what they were designed for.

I accidently took out of date codeine for several weeks (ongoing back problem and prescribed some by doctor - managed to get them mixed up with an old batch of been prescribed and not finished as my back got better). Took about 2 a day for ages. I'm still here! Oh and they were 30/500 too, so the strong ones.
