Already posted this but didn't get much response, and I need to make a decision in the next hour!!!
My son's nursery want me to start sending him in a pull up today, but I'm not sure it's a good idea.

My previous thread: Nursery want 3 year old DS in a pull-uphttp://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/whatwoulddyoudo/3376529-nursery-want-3-year-old-ds-in-a-pull-up

I have a 3 year old. If he is fine most of the time I wouldn't put him back in pull ups all the time. They need to be supportive of any SEN. I don't know what you or they can do about him not pooing with company though, it just might not be possible to keep others out in the time he needs to poo. Go in with a few changes of clothes and speak to the manager. Got to go to work so can't offer much more support. Hope it goes ok

After reading the other thread I think I would either send him in a pull up or keep him off until he is able to do it. It doesn't sound like he is fully dry/clean and can't do it himself. I'd wait and I was the mother of the 3 year old (now 5, only just reliably dry/clean) who kicked her heals in refused the pull ups. It was the biggest mistake I made as it made a huge issue of him learning to use the toilet properly

I can't not send him. I have to work. We went back to pull ups before and it made him regress. I've not sent him in a pull up. He's dry 99% of the time at home, so it's obviously something they're doing/not doing. He's in pants as normal today.

Have you seen the "dry like me" pads, you stick them in his normal underwear (although it does have to be fairly close fitting underwear)

For my son they worked as a half way, he didn't have the same issues with them that he did with pull ups, but they did pretty much contain any wee accidents. He still needed a member of staff to help him change into a clean pants/pad but at least no need to change all his clothes and spend time making sure he'd not left a puddle anywhere.

The clean up of the room/toys was the bigger issue for the preschool with 20 other children potentially walking through it before they spotted the problem.

If they had not been enough then I would have accepted putting him back in pull ups though when he was wet more days than not.
