NDN Rotting Apples

NC as pic is quite revealing, thought I’d include one so it shows I’m not a troll. Have a love/hate relationship with NDN as she’s very loud and obnoxious with 2 yappy dogs, garden full of dog shit and not a single care for others but she can be okay sometimes. I am a peace keeper though so have remained calm and civil so not to turn it into a dispute.

I went to take the bin out this morning and noticed two rotting apples sat on my grass directly next to the party wall which implies they’ve been dropped or thrown over on purpose. Their apple tree is in the front garden so there’s no way it could have got there naturally and they’re already rotting. I’m not really sure what message she’s trying to send here? Would have been impossible for the dogs to launch it over as they’re too small. I don’t feel I should have to put them in my bin. AIBU to drop them back over the wall? There’s no other way they could have got there, certainly not a bird as they’re too specifically placed. I feel like she’s probably picked some up from the front to put in the compost/bin and decided to chuck some over on her way for some sort of weird thrillConfused

I'd think my neighbour had gone nuts if they came to return two rotting apples to me.

I watched a seagull drop a half fermented apple on my lawn at the weekend. Dog ran over and ate it - cue noxious dog farts all evening 😷

Our neighbours have a crab apple tree in their front garden, I've stood many a time watching birds fly over both our homes and into surrounding back gardens dropping their treasure. I really don't think this is a deliberate thing by your neighbour.

CSIBlonde they certainly should be.

As well as spiteful garden birds carrying out the nefarious impulses of OPs neighbour

She could have put them on the top of the wall for the boards and have been knocked off.

PortiaCastis · 25/09/2018 16:34

A couple of apples are nothing to write home about.

ToadOfSadness · 25/09/2018 16:55

Maybe rats or foxes left them there.
I wouldn't bother trying to start a fight over it, just bin them.

Babyshark
You give toys back that are flung over deliberately with dirty nappies/other crap? I used to put them on the pavement for anyone who wants them or the charity shop which I pass anyway. I see it as helpful decluttering of their scrapyard/Steptoe & Son style 'garden'. Thankfully, they moved after everyone complained re their drug dealers etc.
