to ask you in what week you reached that 'get this damn baby out' phase?

34 weeks and until the last few days I've really enjoyed pregnancy (even with complications, scares etc - I've just been happy after many miscarriages to actually be past the 20 week mark!).

Two days ago, baby lodged in to my ribs, I found my first stretch marks, breathing started to become more difficult and insomnia/anxiety have heightened. I'm exhausted and still working 45+ hours a week for another 3 weeks.

At what point did you reach a point where you were fed up?
Did the next few weeks drag?

Feeling uncomfortable and teary, as grateful as I am!

I never got there with DD, she surprised me by popping out at 35+5. With DS by 38 weeks I was miserable. I spent up until 37 weeks thinking 'please stay in, please stay in' Then from 38 weeks thinking GET OUT OF ME!!! He came at 40+4. Longest couple of weeks of my life.

I'm at 37.5 and finally starting to enjoy it. It helps that the baby seems to be moving down now and so I can finally breathe a bit more deeply, I've had nausea throughout and it seems to have eased off slightly and I have also been off work for a few weeks so now feeling more relaxed. I'm not sure how I'll feel in a few weeks though...

I definitely got more sleep with a newborn than I did in the later stages of my first pregnancy, people laughed at me when I said I would but I was right. Pregnancy insomnia is horrid.

Part of me feels like a bit of a mug staying at work for so long but the idea of being at home for 8 weeks is even worse!

Ok I'm going to sound crazy as i have 6 dc but I never got to that point.

Some of my pregnancies were awful. But everytime i woukd get 'stage fright' & wanted to stay pregnant for ever.

With my last dc, I refused a sweep etc & eventually went into labour at 42 weeks.

Take care. I promise you, its all worth it.

@usernotfound0000 I imagine it's a different kind of tiredness. At the moment I am tired because I lay awake all night, finally drop off at about 3 then am up again at 6 for work. At least with a newborn you can probably get intermittent snoozes. I guess it all depends on the baby and I'm not expecting to be any less tired than I am now! Save myself the disappointment...
