I love the theme tune to NCIS. And Friends of course.

The Bridge (the original), which is slightly different to the version linked upthread. More haunting if anything.

The theme tune for Inspector Morse was fab too.

Some corkers here - I've been on a youtube fest thanks to some of these. I see Black Beauty has been mentioned a few times - as a horse-mad 12 year old when the new series was released, I remember being moved to actual tears by the opening titles and music.

Howard's Way is another favourite. Also, Trapdoor, the X-Files, and the closing theme to a short-lived programme called Passengers on Channel 4 that was on late. I used to watch it when everyone else in our house was in bed, having secretly raided my dad's cigarettes first.
