Keep you dogs out of the cat waiting area

I admit I'm a bit PFB about my cats. But they are very nervous, especially at the vet. My vet has a separate waiting are for cats and dogs. It drives me nuts when people bring their dogs into the cats area. I do not want your yappy dog scaring my poor cat. AngryThe staff are lovely but they don't seem to enforce the separate areas.

At my vets the reception is in the cat area so it's hard when you are on your own to pay and keep the dog calm and seperate. When I am with DH one of us takes the dog to the car whilst the other pays.

YANBU. I have a cat and my vet doesn't have separate areas but it is expected that cats will be in a carrier and dogs will be on leads. Not least because the door opens onto a very busy main road so if any animal made a sudden bolt, it would be curtains for them.

Last time I was there my cat was absolutely fascinated with the rabbit who was in the carrier on the floor next to her.

Our vet has separate areas for dogs and cats. We have had to go twice this week. The first visit a woman with a very sorry looking retriever was in the cat area. A couple at the reception desk were letting their yappy little pug on an extending lead jump up at the retriever.

Went in today and I was the only person in the cat area. Would have been lovely and quiet had my cat stopped yowling Blush
