What to do about neighbours singing?

NDN is very nice young girl in her mid twenties I'd say. I haven't really spoken to her much as she works shifts and never around when I am. She sings a lot in the middle of the day (I'm a SAHM so usually home to hear it)

However she likes to sing very loudly in her house, the walls are really thin and it's really quite annoying. By the sounds of it she's tone deaf (I am too) and a very nasal voice.

This isn't strictly an AIBU but I wanted to know if it's something I can tactfully bring up? Or do I just have to put up with it? She may not know how thin the walls are, but I don't know how to bring it up, or even if i can without being rude/ creating an awkward situation.

If the walls are that thin, presumably she can hear you, your telly, your children, your husband, your shagging. Etc etc.

No, you can't bring it up. Not tactfully anyway.

Just be grateful that’s all she’s doing , neighbours can be far far worse

How loud is it? A woman in Norwich got an asbo for her singing! (I think environmental health was involved)

I agree you should join in, maybe try and harmonise.

Joining in - preferably in a pavaroti style voice is the only way.

Play "Silence is Golden" loudly.
