A woman I work with has openly admitted she has done something criminal. If our company found out - it would be enough to get her the sack.

Would you report her?

She has openly admitted to a few of us what she’s done. There is no love lost between her and I and if I report It; I may face people suspecting it was me and effect long term job opportunities

Any advice.

Both you and your forner colleague witnessed another colleague - whom neither of you like - causing damage to a piece of equipment and claiming she had injured herself. Neither of you reported it at the time and your former colleague has moved so is uninterested. That's how I read it from your posts.

Yes it should be reported but it should have been done at the time and unless you have any reason to justify why you didn't do that then the sensible approach is to accept thst not reporting it was an error of judgement on your part and move on.

It's hard because surely it would be your word against hers? The time to speak up would have been while she was off work and they were investigating.

I think I would leave it, if I were you. Things usually catch up with people like this.
