If you’ve got a tall thin partner and what your body size is?

I’ve been interested in someone for sometime now. He’s tall and thin. I’m short and overweight. I feel extremely insecure to approach him because I’m afraid to get rejected due to my body size.

Most tall thin guys I’ve seen are with partners who are tall and thin as well or petite. I rarely see them with overweight women. Don’t mean to generalise, just stating my observations.

Just want to know what the chances are of tall thin men being ok with an overweight women. I know that they may happen to accept all body sizes, but just wanted to know what is their preference. Just similar to how most men, prefer their women to be shorter and vise versa.

So just wanted to get a glimpse and know if you ended up with a partner who’s tall thin and what’s your body type. I’m afraid of rejection and planning to lose weight for so long, not for anyone but myself, but I’ve been fighting depression.

I'm 5"2 as fat - my body resembles a Christmas pudding. Partner is 6"2 and lean and muscly!

Not exactly what you're asking but may be helpful - I am several inches taller than my boyfriend, and many inches wider! But we're happily very attracted to one another (when I'm not busy being jealous of his 28 inch waist )

I do feel more confident approaching him now, but there’s something that’s stopping me. A few weeks back I was in a mess. I had a bad hair day and my shoelaces were untied and I looked quite messy. He stared at me. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but now I keep replaying how I looked like over and over in my head.

Is there a chance that the way I looked at the time, turned him off? I feel anxious to approach him now.

My husband is very tall and slender. I'm small, thin, size 8.

One of my exes is 6ft 6, I’m a solid, very short size 16. My partner now is nearly 6ft and thin. Just don’t overthink it and try not to let your body get in the way, don’t forget we are our own harshest critics.

DH 6ft, 11 st, me 5'3, 2 stone heavier, always have been heavier than him. I'd like him bigger, he'd ideally like me smaller, still get on fine.

DH is 6ft 2 and 12 and a half stone wet through.
When we met I was a size ten and nine and a half stone. Now I'm a size 14 and 13 stone and it hasn't affected our relationship it at all - joined SW two weeks ago to get back to where I was though, but that's purely for me.

I guess you have to ask yourself, without wishing to be rude about it, is this person out of my league? To the extent that it's not worth my while bothering? Weight is only one part of it really, and I don't think men care that much about height in a woman. You could be overweight and still be what most people would find better looking than a tall slim bloke, if that makes sense.

It's also possible he's a bit insecure about his body shape too. My DH used to have a thing about being skinny, and I know a lot of blokes these days feel pressure to be bigger. Thin men don't necessarily see their thinness as desirable. Men have different preferences about weight too just as we do.

My DH is a 6ft ‘hottie’ (according to colleagues).

I’m 5’ 5” and a size 22 - that’s AFTER having just lost 3 stone. When we started going out I was thinner but still fat at size 18. I’m also NOT a hottie regardless of fatness - I’m not the ‘but she’s got such a pretty face’ type of fat.
